Welcome to Shackleton's Rest

The Crookstown Inn Pub was established in 1846. Crookstown  Inn traded as a public house for 154 years until it closed in 2000 when the pub was demolished for the construction of the new road. 

The "Old Inn" site is actually right under the current sign for the Pub & Restaurant.  

In June of 05 the Crookstown Inn re-opened with the addition of a Restaurant - Shackleton's Rest. Taking its Name from local (Kilkea) explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton...
